As our Dinner Service Manager, you’ll help build our new evening program from the ground up—creating systems, shaping guest experience, and leading a team with professionalism and confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and implement front-of-house service systems for evening service

  • Recruit, hire, and onboard FOH team members

  • Train staff in service standards, guest care, and overall hospitality

  • Collaborate with the FOH Line Lead to ensure smooth transitions from day to night

  • Resolve guest concerns and ensure a consistently excellent experience

  • Partner with kitchen leadership for seamless service flow

Requirements

  • 3+ years hospitality experience (full-service preferred)

Commitment: Full-time (Monday–Saturday)

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee kitchen opening/closing, prep, and cleanliness

  • Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and presentation standards

  • Coordinate with line staff during peak hours

  • Maintain organization across all kitchen areas

  • Follow food safety and sanitation protocols

  • Manage inventory and ordering

  • Support catering prep and platter assembly

  • Contribute ideas for seasonal menu development

  • Train and mentor junior staff

  • Collaborate with front-of-house teams

Requirements

  • 3+ years of cooking experience (café or restaurant)

About the Role

This is a guest-facing role for someone who enjoys connecting with people, delivering excellent service, and working with quality food and drinks. You’ll help shape the warm, welcoming atmosphere Buka Maranga is known for.

Skills Required

  • Ability to assemble menu items accurately

  • Strong organizational skills in a fast-paced setting

  • Safe knife handling and food safety practices

  • Understanding of hot/cold food handling

  • Professional representation of the Buka Maranga brand

Daily Responsibilities

  • Take guest orders and respond to menu inquiries

  • Prepare sandwiches, wraps, salads, bowls, smoothies, and more

  • Restock and maintain grab-and-go fridge items

  • Support catering prep

  • Provide warm and attentive service

  • Maintain a clean and inviting café environment

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of QSR or restaurant experience

  • Fluent English (spoken & written)

  • Monday–Friday availability

  • Smart Serve certification an asset

  • Able to lift 25 lbs and stand for long periods

We’re looking for an experienced Coffee Bar Barista who thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm, welcoming energy.
You’ll craft espresso drinks on our La Marzocco machine, deliver excellent service, and help create the kind of café atmosphere people want to return to.
